Clean Fuel Cars: Hybrids

Hybrid future cars have a built in feature that no one foresaw. If the price of oil stays down or goes even lower, the hybrid can run on gasoline alone. Wow. It’s good for our pocket books, and then, if the price goes up again it can be used with hybrid fuel.

Why Did GM Destroy Its Electic Cars?

Watch this short great video to discover why GM destroyed its Electric vehicles.

Clean Fuel – Electric Cars

Clean Fuel means no emissions. In  my opinion, one of the best cars for this is the electric car. However, some people will say that you are just transferring the pollution to the power station that recharges the batteries.

But in a lot of areas, solar power plants for cities can wipe out the pollution that comes from recharging the electrical cars.

Clean Fuel and independence

Solar fuel is clean fuel and that’s great. Even greater is that you don’t have to be dependent of stations if the climate is right.

But here’s the kicker: solar energy is like driving around in your own mini-factory. The sun is sending in the raw materials i.e. the fuel. Your car is actually storing the  energy and in batteries i.e. the production process. Theoretically, if you were not using the car, you could rent out the full batteries to other drivers, i.e. marketing.

It’s like being independent, making your own energy from the sun, living off nature.

Recharging Station prototype launched in Tel Aviv, Israel

Clean fuel for electric cars needs recharging stations instead of gas stations. Better place is a company that has already contracted to build in a network of recharging stations in 4 countries, including in the Bay area in San Francisco. Today they have unveiled their first first recharging station in Tel Aviv, Israel. Better Place hopes to have stations built throughout Israelby 2011, so that electric car enthusiasts can drive everywhere. Israel is a great test country because it is so small. The whole country is about 500 miles long by 50 miles wide, the size of  New York State.

clean fuels, a solar hybrid

Clean fuels? Solar is the best. EDIG Solar has developed an advanced solar-hybrid gas-turbine engine  in conjunction with the Weizmann Institute of Science. The system offers a unique modular solution to green power generation, comprising small Base Units (100kW each) that are connected together, building up into a large power plant, designed to the customers’ needs (see Fig.1). When the available sunlight is not sufficient (during cloudy days or at night), the system operates on any alternative fuel source (fossil fuel, bio fuel), thereby guaranteeing a continuous power supply, 24hr/7. Now that’s clean fuel!

Clean Fuel

Clean Fuel, as in electric fuel, is coming up fast in California. The San Francisco Bay Municipalities have made a deal to start building battery transfer stations.

The business model is based on cellphones, where people pay by the minute. With cars they will pay by the mile. Sounds very strange, but they are future cars. By the time they will be present cars, we’ll be used to it and we’ll have clean fuel.

Clean Fuel Cars

Clean fuel cars are on Warren Buffet’s agenda. At the end of September he put-up $230 to buy 10% of China’s electric car company: BYD. BYD also produces batteries to store the electricity. Now our electric grid and wall sockets are not enough to store the electricity so we will need swapping stations for these clean fuel cars.

SOLAR CARS: THE BEST ENERGY

Solar cars are really the best energy because the sun is always producing more for no cost. We just have to perfect the technology to harness that energy. Today the solar pannel are build into the cars body which means that the car can pick up solar energy anywhere. so far solar cars can travel up to 75 mpg.

Lithium Batteries Look Like The Next Future Car Technology

Future cars and especially electric cars will soon be powered by lithium batteries.

The future cars of GM, Toyota, Mercedes, BMW, Nissan-Renault, Mitsubishi and VW are all either testing lithium or actually using it.

The drewback is that there is only a supply enough for 10 years. That will give us time to develop alternative technologies  and to move onto something else, according to the BBC.
